Kenwood DDX812

The Kenwood DDX812 in dash receiver is a sophisticated entertainment center with a 6.95" touch screen and blue tooth capabilities. It allows hands-free cell phone use, and has an external mike which can be mounted conveniently for voice activation.

It comes with a wireless remote control and is capable of iPod control (both playing and charging), HD and SIRIUS radio, receiving traffic information, GPS, and can include a rear view mirror. It plays back DVDs, CDs, and MP3 players. It displays CD text and MP3 tags. It also has relay control outputs for such things as garage door openers or for opening a trunk.

Kenwood's advanced technology has helped make the DDX812 unique in that it allows startup to be customized so that the owner's devices are geared toward that person's requirements. In addition, it has superb sound quality, excellent picture quality, as well as extremely fast access to iPod and video files.

 

The unit comes with a duel zone feature which allows you to play from two different outputs at the same time. For instance, you can play one song on the front speaker from an iPod at one volume, and another song on the back speaker from a CD at a different volume.

The Kenwood DDX812 in dash receiver is equipped with a built-in fan to keep it cool. This runs a few minutes after the vehicle engine is shut off to make sure the unit stays cool. Equalizers help prevent skips in audio or video files while the vehicle is in motion.
