Kenwood DNX7120

My husband's birthday was soon, and I had no idea what to get the man who has everything. Then I overheard him talking to his buddy about the Kenwood DNX7120 Navigation/Entertainment System. I knew he wouldn't be talking about it if he hadn't already checked it out, so I thought that would be the perfect gift.

I checked into it and found that the Kenwood DNX7120 is a built-in navigation system with DVD, CD, MP3 receiver, and wireless remote. It's traffic and weather ready for live traffic and weather information, Sirius/satellite radio ready, HD radio ready, Bluetooth ready, and iPod ready.

It has maps of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico that can be upgraded in the future, and built-in clock. It's also compatible with most factory steering wheel audio controls and has two relay control outputs for things like garage doors, lighting, and the trunk.

 

The 6.95" touchscreen display has nice size buttons that aren't too small to hit when driving. It also needed to be easy to install. The instructions seemed easy to follow, and a free installation kit was included with all the hardware needed. The price was also right. I found a brand new one for just under $900 with a one year warranty.

In the end, I bought the Kenwood DNX7120 and gave it to my husband on his birthday. He was overjoyed and immediately went out to our Chevy Blazer to install it. Once installed, we took a ride in the country and I was amazed at the surround sound-- it sounded like we were in the theater!

The navigation system also proved fast and accurate. My husband asked how I knew to pick out such a gift. I answered that the Kenwood DNX7120 had everything we wanted and more.
